Identification
Adults can grow up to 9.5 cm for females, less for males. Smooth skin with two dorsolateral folds. Males are yellowish, females are orange-red with fine vermiculations on back. Black stripe on flanks. White belly.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to the island of Madagascar occurring mostly in the eastern parts of the country. Lives in lowland primary forests near slow moving streams.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN

Status : The species has a large range but could be threatened by habitat loss, although it can adapt to slight changes in its environment.
