Identification
The species can reach 1 meter. Oval-shaped body, slight hump on upper forehead but round snout and small mouth. Silvery body with slight yellow tinge. Fins dirty yellow with dark edges. Dark pectoral fins. Fins longer than T. mookalee.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the western Pacific Ocean, around Taiwan and south Japanese coasts and then around north-east Australia and south New Caledonia. Mostly found in shallow coastal waters.

CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a patchy range and can be locally highly vulnerable to overfishing. Its range isn’t fully understood and surveyed yet.
