Identification
Adults can grow to a body length of 21 cm, tail length of 22 cm and weight up to 278 g. Bushy tail. Very variable species. This subspecies has a brown to dark grey back with white to yellowish head, lower flanks and belly.

Range and habitat
This subspecies is endemic to central Thailand. Species found in South East Asia, from central Myanmar to Thailand and south Vietnam. Lives in dense and open lowland forests, plantations and shrubby areas.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species has a large range and remains at least locally common. No known threats faced now. Some insular species could be vulnerable.
