Identification
Adults can grow up to 12 cm in total length. Fairly big flattened claws with white hair-like projections (on body as well). Coloration from purple-pink to orange with violet to red round blotches on entire body and claws. Legs orange.

Range and habitat
The species occurs patchily in the Pacific Ocean around Indonesia, New Caledonia, Philippines, possibly Japan and Hawaii. Lives in rocky and coral reefs at depths from 12 to 25 meters.

IUCN RED LIST : DATA DEFICIENT
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species’ range is still being questioned and the species is considered uncommon. No regulation on harvesting for international trade.
