Notes : No subspecies known.

Identification
Dome-shaped bell reaching a diameter up to 20 cm. Bell surface is usually slightly granulous. Fairly short and thick arms with plumose appendages and long terminal filament. Color often white to yellowish-white. Brown spots on bell edge.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Indo-Pacific area, from India to Taiwan, south to Indonesia. Mostly found in coastal waters, sometimes in brackish waters.

IUCN RED LIST : NOT LISTED
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species has yet to be assessed in the Red List but so far seems to be at least locally common.
