Identification
Bell diameter reaching up to 40 cm. Bell is flat, except for an orange round protuberance at its center (housing zooxanthellae). Tentacles are short but with large bubbly white extremities featuring a round violet end. Unmistakable.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the eastern Atlantic Ocean and can only be found in the Mediterranean Sea. Found in open seas and shores, close to the surface.
