Notes : No subspecies known.
Adults can reach a bell diameter of 15 cm. Bell coloration is yellowish with zigzag black stripes towards rim. Small and thin whitish-yellow tentacles with red and green tips. Some tentacles are also found around the bell.
Range and habitat
The species is found patchily in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, around the coasts of Brazil, Argentina and south Japan. Lives in coastal areas, on various kinds of bottoms.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed. It doesn’t seem to be affected by any threats and is considered as a pest by fishermen.
