Identification
Large sea anemone species with a wide and tall columnar body reaching up to 30 cm high and 10 cm wide. Crown of very small tentacles on sides of oral disk. Coloration greyish to green. Sides of body are covered with crowded warts.

Range and habitat
This species occurs in the southern Atlantic and Indian Oceans, mostly around the southern and eastern coasts of South Africa. Found mostly on rocky bottoms.

Status : The species has a relatively small range but seems to be common in suitable habitat and isn’t known to be facing any threats.
