Identification
Large anemone reaching around 20 cm in diameter, rarely more. Body in columnar and wide, with numerous round-shaped vesicles crowded all around the body. Tentacles are short. Coloration orange-yellow to pinkish with white vesicles.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in south-east Pacific Ocean, around south American coasts, from Peru to Chile. Lives in subtropical waters, around rocky shores, on sandy and rocky bottoms.

IUCN RED LIST : NOT LISTED
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed so far but it seems to be common in its range. Climate change may be a threat with water temperature rise.
